The Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy hosted a talk as part of it's 'Great Cases' series by Mr. Mohan Parasaran, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India on the Vodafone tax case (Vodafone International Holdings v Union of India).

Mr. Parasaran was appointed Additional Solicitor General of India in 2004 and served in that capacity till February 2013 when he was appointed Solicitor General of India. In his capacity as ASGI and SGI, Mr Parasaran has appeared on behalf of the Government of India in such leading cases as the Reliance Gas Dispute, the Niyamgiri mining case, and the Kudankulam Nuclear Power plant PIL before the Supreme Court apart from numerous cases concerning taxation and constitutional law.

At the event, Mr. Parasaran spoke about his experiences as the counsel arguing the case.
