Exploring the Dark Universe

Much of what we know about the universe comes from direct observations of starlight. As increasingly powerful telescopes reveal fainter and more distant objects, tremendous progress has been made over the last decade in mapping the large scale matter distribution across the cosmos. In this talk, Professor Hsiao Wen Chen from the University of Chicago will describe new ways that astronomers are using to explore the dark universe.
