Citizen science: The five most important things I’ve learned about coping with Air Pollution

6:00–7:30 pm
UChicago Center in Delhi

In this talk which was held in collaboration with the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago - India (EPIC-INDIA), Professor Thomas Talhelm, Assistant Professor of Behavioral Science at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business shared what he has learnt over four years of applying scientific research methods to a simple problem millions face in their everyday lives.

Dangerous air pollution is a frequent sight in cities like Delhi and Beijing. During one bleak Beijing winter, Professor Talhelm started building DIY purifiers and testing the air around him. He shared simple (frugal) steps he has learnt to dramatically reduce the exposure to air pollution at this event.
