Chicago Model United Nations Conference India

All day
Through December 23, 2015
UChicago Center in Delhi

Dec. 21

The Centre collaborated with ChoMUN, an academic student organization at the University of Chicago to host the second installation of Chicago Model United Nations—India edition.  ChoMUN is responsible for organizing UChicago’s annual college MUN conference and works with UChicago’s travelling competitive MUN team, which is the best in the world.

Traditionally MUNs are simulations of various UN committees with participants representing different countries. ChoMUN brings a unique spin to conventional MUN in India by simulating a much wider variety of committees, spanning various time periods and bringing a ‘crisis’ element to each committee. Delegates may represent countries on UN bodies, ministers on Cabinets or even princes on historical royal courts. Not only do they interact with other delegates in the committee, they may also use personal contacts and connections of the individual they are portraying to influence what is happening in committee. ChoMUN staffers will keep delegates on their toes by providing immediate responses to the actions they take.

With committees like the BJP-RSS summit and Churchill’s War Cabinet ChoMUN India 2014 was a resounding success. We are immensely excited to be hosting delegates from all over India from 21st to 23rd December for ChoMUN 2015.
