Ranjan Daniels is the Senior Associate Dean of Student Recruitment and Global Outreach for the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. He leads admissions, financial aid, executive education, new program development and international partnerships. He is a strategist, innovator, and student recruitment leader who excels at launching new programs, enhancing applicant diversity, and opening new international markets.
Prior to joining Harris, Ranjan spent twenty years building new products, and championing innovation at Kaplan, Berkshire Hathaway, the Tribune Company, and the City of Chicago. Ranjan earned an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and an MA in public policy from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Emory University.
Luis Miranda is chairman and co-founder of the Indian School of Public Policy, which maintains an active partnership with the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. He also serves as a trustee of the University of Chicago Trust in India, a member of the Advisory Council at the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation, and a member of Booth’s Global Leaders Group–Asia.
Looking back on his student years, Miranda says he’s thankful for lessons learned from faculty members such as Marvin Zonis and Harry Davis, who showed him that there is more to life than finance, and George Stigler and Gary Becker, who helped him understand the benefits of limited government and the role of incentives in his personal and professional pursuits.
Shilin Liu is the Senior Director of International Partnerships & Executive Education at the Harris School of Public Policy, where she focuses on recruiting international students to join the Harris community, building international partnerships and expanding executive programs to domestic and international markets. She develops programs and partnerships that help Harris better recruit diverse international students and young professionals to attend degree or non-degree programs (e.g., the Data and Policy Summer Scholar Program).
Shilin started her career in China as a management trainee at Mars, a global food company. There she had multiple corporate roles, ranging from marketing, production, and Human Resources. In the United States, she has worked at Save the Children in Washington, DC, as a consultant for a global youth employment program.
Sakshi Parihar is the Assistant Director of Programs, International Partnerships & Executive Education working with the Executive Director, University of Chicago Center in Delhi and the Senior Director of International Partnerships & Executive Education in Chicago. She focuses on supporting global programming and cultivating international policy partnerships. She also leads outreach efforts for degree and non-degree students from South Asia, Europe, Oceania & Canada.
Sakshi graduated with an MA in Public Policy and is a Harris alumna. Before coming to Harris, she was a central banker with domain expertise in international trade & investment and has also worked in tech consulting.
