Successful negotations invariably conclude with all parties having reached an amicable solution by making concessions without compromising their core interests, through extensive use of tact and diplomacy. Tact is the ability to make your point in a way that considers other people's feelings and reactions. It allows you to give difficult feedback, communicate sensitive information, and say the right thing to preserve a relationship during a difficult negotiation. This course prepared participants to negotiate, conduct oneself in the heat of a contentious debate and finally reach a win-win solution using tact and diplomacy.
