This event jointly hosted by the Embassy of Israel and the Embassy of the United States of America commemorated the life and work of the Wall Street Journal correspondent Daniel Pearl (1963-2002).

The event included a screening of the 2006 Emmy award nominated HBO documentary film The Journalist and the Jihadi: The Murder of Daniel Pearl directed by Ramesh Sharma who also introduced it.

A Panel discussion on Journalistic Freedom in the Age of Digital Media followed, featuring
