The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI), Bengaluru co-hosted this conference with UChicago's International Innovation Corps (IIC) with the aim to bring together stakeholders from different sectors to discuss the challenges surrounding healthcare services in Indian states for at-risk populations.

The IIC team at Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust (SAST), in Bengaluru, has been working over the last nine months on projects aiming to support SAST in the implementation of central and state government healthcare schemes.

SAST, under the aegis of the Karnataka Department of Health and Family Welfare, has made strides in achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC), defined by World Bank as access to affordable, quality health care without suffering financial hardship.  The focus of this conference will be on one of the fundamental pillars of UHC: "access for all", focusing specifically on what this means for marginalised populations.

This event was by invitation only.
